GARY ERAKLEOUS

My name is Gary Erakleous: I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Aphrodite, called Cyprus. I have been living in the United States for the last thirty-five years. I have raised a son and a daughter who are both married, and I'm also a grandfather to a six-years-old handsome boy. I'm married to my wife Irene and we live in New Jersey.
I studied philosophy and business administration in New York, at CUNY, Baruch College and graduated with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts. I worked as a manager in the retail industry for many years, and I was also active in political and social organizations. Although I have done a lot of different jobs, as an insurance representative, and a restaurant owner, among others, my real passion in life has always been writing. From an early age, I wrote poetry, and later I began writing fiction. A few years ago, I published my first novel in Europe, in my native language, which is Greek, titled Desmefsi, (The Commitment) and a book of poetry, titled Anazitiseis, (Pursuits).
